    Course Summary

    A BSc in Accounting and Marketing will equip you with the knowledge and skills you’ll need to work in a very rarefied field – the interface between high level marketing and management accounting.      Better still, the fact that it is from a well-respected university like Ulster means you’ll have an important edge in a very competitive job market.     This degree program is typically delivered over 4 years at full time.

    Year 1

    You’ll begin with modules that explain the basics of accounting, finance, taxation and business skills.

    Year 2

    In year 2, you’ll learn more about marketing and accounting in particular, as well as business law.

    Year 3

    Year 3 presents the option to learn more about either the practical or the academic sides of the disciplines.

    Learning & Teaching

    You’ll learn using a variety of methods over your four years in the program. These will include lecture classes, smaller seminars, interactive practical workshops and team projects. You’ll also conduct extensive case studies which will show you how organisations dealt with actual marketing and accounting issues and learn to conduct the research you’ll need to support your business decisions. You’ll also attend a series of guest lectures and similar events.

    Career Possiblities

    You’ll be qualified to take on just about any business career, but most students do go on to found careers relating to marketing and/or accounting. Recent graduates have become Trainee Accountants, Marketing Managers, Junior Managers, Management and Marketing Management Trainees and General Managers at organisations like Seagate, Swifts Supervalu, E&I Engineering, the BBC and the European parliament. You may even be asked to take permanent employment with your placement hosts.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 4 year BSc degree.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
