    Course Outline

    This degree program is typically delivered over a single year of three semesters at full time.

    Semester 1 Modules:

    • Marketing

    You’ll explore how businesses address their markets, and how they generate demand.

    • Accounting and Finance

    You’ll learn how to handle money in a business context, as well as how to keep proper records.

    • Innovation and Entrepreneurship

    You’ll learn what it takes to start a new business, product or department, and how to succeed.

    • Management Studies and Research Methods

    You’ll learn how to conduct thorough research which can support your decision making.

    Semester 2 Modules:

    • Managing People in the Organisation

    You’ll learn the basics of human resource management and leadership.

    • Operations Management

    You’ll learn how to actually run a business, and support its functions.

    • Leadership and Change

    You’ll learn how to manage institutional change, and to make positive contributions.

    • Economics and the Business Environment

    You’ll learn the economical context that businesses must work within.

    Semester 3 Modules:

    • Digital Transformation

    You’ll explore the ways companies reinvent themselves online.

    • Strategy

    You’ll learn strategic decision making techniques

    • Business Project

    You’ll complete a final business project.

    Learning & Teaching

    Ulster University’s MBA Program is one of the best respected in Northern Ireland. The quality of its instruction is all but unmatched. You’ll attend highly interactive lectures, smaller group seminars, make use of IT resources remotely and do a great deal of self-directed study. Coursework consists of written assignments, presentations and similar tasks. Your progress will be assessed using a variety of methods, varying from module to module.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
