    Course Summary

Not only is air travel becoming ever more common and affordable, airports themselves are becoming much more complicated and difficult to manage. That means highly skilled graduates with a specialty in aviation and airport management are in high demand all over the world. The University of Bedfordshire offers a degree that was designed from the ground up to make you a competitive applicant for the most sought after roles in this industry.

You’ll learn both in class and on site in work placements at London Luton Airport and elsewhere. This degree can incorporate an additional year spent in professional practice. The degree awarded in that case is a BSc in Aviation and Airport Management (with Professional Practice Year). This is optional, but will almost certainly increase your employability within the industry dramatically. Not only will you have developed a network of professional contacts all your own, you’ll have earned real world experience in your chosen career.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
