    Course Summary

    The University of Birmingham’s International Business MBA distance learning program gives students everything they need to further their career in the global business world.

    This program is unique, in that it is the first distance learning MBA program to be accredited by the AMBA. In addition, the Birmingham Business School holds accreditations form the AACSB and EQUIS, the so called ‘triple crown’ of recognition.

    This program does not just teach you theory, but how to apply it in practical situations. Over the course of your studies you will participate in four separate enterprise projects, each in close cooperation with UK and international businesses.     Course Outline

    Over the course of your study, you will participate in 12 online modules before being asked to submit a final project which may be either research or company-based.

    By taking this course, you’ll benefit from a greatly expanded understanding of the international business community and how it operates. You’ll also be assigned to a mentor and career coach who can help you to become a real success in international business, both during and after your studies.

    Entry Credit

    Entry Requirements for UK and EU-nationals

    Applicants will have to meet several requirements to be accepted into this program.

    • They must have an Honours degree or a professional qualification that is a full equivalent.
    • They must have at least 5 years of professional experience in a managerial or professional role. Occasionally, an applicant will be accepted with as little as 3 years of such experience, if t is of exceptional quality.
    • If not a native English speaker, they must meet the same language requirements listed below for international students.

    Entry Requirements for overseas (non-EU) students

    In addition to the equivalent of a UK Honours degree and relevant work experience, applicants must be able to show English language fluency in one of the following ways:

    • IELTS overall score of 7.0, and no less than 6.5 in any one band
    • TOEFL IBT score of 95, and no less than 22 in any one band
    • Pearson Academic Test of English score of at least 67 in all four skills.
