    An MSc in Accountancy and Financial Management from the University of Bolton will prepare you for a wide range of business careers, but most especially leadership or management roles in the finance or accountancy industries.

    This program is intended to be most useful for those already working in a business role in either of those industries, and has been scheduled so that your studies need not interfere with your work.     Course Outline

    This program is typically delivered over 18 months at full time.  

    It is delivered to very small classes – a maximum of 20 students per class – in order to maximise teacher-student interaction and to ensure that every student gains the deep understanding of the material that they need to thrive.

    You’ll not only build a critical awareness of the subject matter, you’ll learn critical financial decision making techniques based on scientific problem solving..

     

    Many of the modules focus on bringing mathematical and statistical research techniques to bear on real world problems, utilising case studies and other examples. This will make sure you can apply what you’ve learned to business and accountancy problems in the real world once you graduate.

    Learning & Teaching

    Bolton University’s Business courses are generally delivered via lectures, seminars and tutorial sessions. The lecture classes serve to introduce new ideas and content. Next, seminar sessions help you explore that material more deeply and to relate it to practical concerns. Finally, you can use the tutorials and practical activities to interact directly with tutors and classmates, asking questions and cementing your comprehension of the course content. You’ll typically be assessed via exams, essays and other coursework.

    Bolton’s MSc degree program in Accountancy and Financial Management is intended to give you the advanced skills you need to jump start a slowing career progression or to seek a more challenging role.     Entry Credit

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.5 overall and with no section scoring less than 6.0 would qualify, for example.
