This degree program is a dual award, in that you will also receive a Level 5 CMI Diploma in Leadership and Management when you successfully complete the program. Course Outline

By earning a BSc in Business Management with a specialisation in Finance from the University of Bolton, you’ll have received a well-rounded background in business management by studying the same core curriculum as all of Bolton’s other Business Management programs through years one and two.

By year three, however, you begin to specialise. These high level Finance courses can be chosen to comply with your intended career pathway. That will make you much more employable in your chosen field, as well as making you more likely to be promoted quickly to responsible or leadership positions in your organisation.

Your employability will be specifically addressed by making case studies of real world businesses and the way they overcame problems or took advantage of business opportunities. You’ll attend guest lectures form leaders in several industries, and visit financial organizations to see how theory is put into practice in one of the world’s greatest financial capitols.

    Learning & Teaching

Bolton University’s business courses are typically delivered via lectures, seminars and tutorial sessions. The lecture classes serve to introduce new ideas and content. Next, seminar sessions help you explore that material more deeply and to relate it to practical concerns. Finally, you can use the tutorials to interact directly with tutors, asking questions and cementing your comprehension of the course content. You’ll typically be assessed via exams, essays and other coursework.

    Career Possiblities

Bolton’s degree programs are intended to turn out highly employable graduates. In addition to learning how to manage a business, you’ll have gained the kind of transferrable skills you’ll need to take on nearly any graduate role. Many recent graduates have gone into Banking, Management Consultancy, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising, or even Law. As you’ll also have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, you’ll have many options.

Successful completion will result in a full BSc degree.

Students must typically have been awarded 104 UCAS Tariff Points to apply. The full list of accepted qualifications can be found here.

All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An excellent IELTS score would qualify, for example.
