    Course Outline

    This program is typically delivered over a single year at full time.  

    It is delivered to very small classes – a maximum of 20 students per class – in order to maximise teacher-student interaction and to ensure that every student gains the deep understanding of the material that they need to thrive.

    You’ll not only build a critical awareness of the subject matter, you’ll learn the latest software engineering techniques and methodologies based on cutting edge developments in the data and computer sciences. It has been developed in cooperation with local industry, to ensure that the skills you learn are relevant.

    Many of the modules focus on bringing your advanced programming techniques to bear on real world problems, utilising both live and simulated project briefs from industry and commerce. This will make sure you can apply what you’ve learned to the kinds of business, financial or industrial challenges you’ll face in the real world once you graduate.

    Learning & Teaching

    Bolton University’s Business courses are generally delivered via lectures, seminars and tutorial sessions. The lecture classes serve to introduce new ideas and content. Next, seminar sessions help you explore that material more deeply and to relate it to practical concerns. Finally, you can use the tutorials and practical activities to interact directly with tutors and classmates, asking questions and cementing your comprehension of the course content.     All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall and with no section scoring less than 5.5 would qualify, for example.
