Course Summary
An MEng degree specialising in Civil and Structural Engineering opens up a wide range of rewarding career options to you. The degree fulfils the educational requirements for becoming an Incorporated Engineer and sets you well along the path to registering as a Chartered Engineer. It is recognised by Europe’s ENAEE and fully accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators in the UK. That body is comprised of the CIHT, the ICE, the IHE and the IHT.
This is an integrated BEng/MEng program, open to students without a first Bachelor’s Degree. In it you’ll learn the skills you need to plan, construct, repair and maintain every aspect of a city’s infrastructure. You’ll learn the techniques you need to deal with road, bridges, underground transport systems of all kinds and of course the buildings that make up a city itself. You’ll also be given the background you need in mathematics, computing, technical drawing, environmental and personnel management, as well as an understanding of the structural and geotechnical aspects of civil engineering.
