Year 1:
Your foundational year will be based on exploring what health and wellbeing means from a variety of viewpoints, both scientific and cultural.
Year 2:
Your second year in the University of Bristol’s Medical program will see you studying disease processes in general, and taking your first steps into the art and science of diagnosis.
Year 3:
Your third year will be spent in the University’s clinical academies, both in hospital and primary care settings. You will interact with real patients on both elective and emergency levels, and you will earn how care is provided within the NHS.
Intercalation (optional):
This is an opportunity to work on an intercalated degree in the medical sciences or a humanity. Students are encouraged to explore study abroad options.
Year 4:
In this year you will learn about the care of patients in hospital and primary care settings, throughout the course of their lives.
Year 5:
In your last year, you’ll work directly with several clinical teams in order to garner vital primary and secondary care experience, and will learn to provide effective emergency care.
