    Learning And Teaching

    The University of Calgary’s Faculty of Sciences uses both traditional and innovative methods to deliver its Computer Science degrees. Of course there will be traditional lectures, seminars and technical skills tutorials. You’ll typically complete 120 taught units over the course of 4 years. Like all of UCalgary’s BSc programs, this one helps you develop your ability to think critically and communicate in writing and in person. Internships and work based learning options are available.  

    Career Possibilities

    Many graduates of the University of Calgary’s BSc program in Computer Science accept roles in business, industry or the public or not for profit sectors. Others pursue professional training in fields such as education, medicine, veterinary sciences or the law. 

    As this is a BSc degree, it can also be a stepping stone to a greater academic career, leading to Masters or even PhD studies at UCalgary or nearly any of the world’s other fine universities. 

    Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a full BSc degree. 

    To apply, you’ll need to have completed a secondary education including Mathematics, Science and English content. Diverse qualifications are accepted as well. 

    All classes are taught in English unless otherwise specified, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
