    The University of Calgary’s Bachelor of Commerce in Finance will see you learning a wide range of financial and general professional skills. From using the latest spreadsheets to mastering advanced statistical modelling aids, from understanding basic financial principles to applying the latest theories to real world tactical scenarios, you’ll have mastered the most important aspects of the modern business environment. 

    You’ll gain experience delivering projects to real world business entities, giving formal presentations, working in groups and assembling case studies on real world organisations and the challenges they faced.

    Learning And Teaching

    The University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business uses a variety of innovative, progressive teaching methods to deliver its business degrees. Of course there will be traditional lectures, seminars and skills tutorials. However, you will also have access to student clubs such as the Haskayne Students’ Association and access to the school’s Mentoring Program as well as many different professional skills programs. You may also be able to participate in research-intensive coursework as part of the BCom Honours program.

    In addition to finance-specific skills, you’ll develop the professional skills you need to thrive in Canada’s competitive business community.     Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a full BCom degree. 

    To apply, you’ll need to have completed a secondary education including Statistics, Mathematics, Economics and English content. Diverse qualifications are accepted. 

    All classes are taught in English unless otherwise specified, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
