    This program is typically delivered over three years at full time, or 4 if you choose to spend a year in professional placement.

    The University of Central Lancashire requires you to complete 360 credits of modules over a 3 year undergraduate degree. Each standard module accounts for 20 credits, and around 200 hours of in class and individual study. This adds up to some 3,600 hours for a typical degree. Each module is comprised of time spent in lecture classes, smaller seminars, tutorial and skills sessions as well as much independent reading and study.

    Career Possiblities

    The University of Central Lancashire’s BA degree program in Accounting and Finance offers particularly good employment prospects in a wide range of financial services or accountancy roles. Note that students who wish to pursue a professional career in accountancy will need to undertake a professional qualification upon graduating.  If you pass all modules with at least 50% marks, though, you’ll be exempt from many ICAEW and other professional body tests.  

    Entry Credit

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no section lower than 5.5 would qualify, for example.
