    The University of Central Lancashire’s BA in Economics was created to give students all of the skills necessary to take on a role in economic strategy or forecasting. It also grants access to a wide range of optional module which will allow you to specialise your degree and career pathway.

    A BSc program in Economics is also available, with more emphasis on statistics and maths, which could prepare you for an academic career furthering the science of economics itself.

    This program is typically delivered over three years at full time.

    Learning & Teaching

    The University of Central Lancashire requires you to complete 360 credits of modules over a 3 year undergraduate degree. Each standard module accounts for 20 credits, and around 200 hours of in class and individual study. This adds up to some 3,600 hours for a typical degree. Each module is comprised of time spent in lecture classes, smaller seminars, tutorial and skills sessions as well as much independent reading and study.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a full BA or BSc degree.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no section lower than 5.5 would qualify, for example.
