    The University of Chester’s BA degree in Media will prepare you to take your place in an exciting media career, such as the production of online, radio or television content. You’ll learn communication techniques, as well as choosing a specialty such as advertising, academic media studies, film studies or photography. You’ll also get a general education in high access media techniques, and build a rich global perspective on the field by undertaking a range of critical and contextual projects.

    Learning & Teaching

    Chester’s BA degree in Media is delivered via many teaching methods. Lectures, seminars and skills sessions are common, but most modules will also include a wide range of practical sessions. You’ll get actual experience producing programming for on-campus TV and Radio broadcast, preparing are for gallery exhibition and making contributions to a working news website. Your progress will be assessed by coursework, both on an individual and a group basis. You’ll also write formal exams and essays.

    Entry Credit

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall and with no section scoring less than 5.5 would qualify, for example.
