Course Summary
The University of Cumbria’s LLB program is a Qualifying Law Degree, and prepares students to enter into a Training contract in order to become a Solicitor or Barrister in the UK courts. It is one of the few such programs which can lay claim to a 100% satisfaction rating in the 2018 national Student Survey.
This course is fully accredited by the Bar Standards Board and the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and is an excellent choice for any career which requires a knowledge of the law or touches upon the courts, crafting legislation or regulations, or enforcing the law.
You’ll learn both the academic and writing skills associated with the legal profession as well as the vital client facing skills you’ll need to succeed in a legal career. These include individual and team negotiation, mediation, client interaction, witness interviews moot and mock court proceedings and attending court on Advocacy Training Days.
