    Course Summary

Ultrasound scans have been a vital part of modern medical diagnosis for decades, and the science continues to advance. Demand for skilled ultrasound technicians is growing faster than ever, and the UK’s universities are struggling to supply the graduates the medical industry requires. That means an MSc degree in Medical Ultrasound from the University of Derby could be exactly what you need to pave the way to an exciting, rewarding career or to improve your chances for promotion at your current medical practice.

You’ll learn all of the skills an autonomous ultrasound practitioner needs to succeed, but in order to take part in the program you’ll need access to a clinical ultrasound placement for a minimum of 2 days each week.

This program can be taken in 2 years at full time, or across three to 5 years at part time. This opens the MBA program up to students with substantial work or family commitments, and allows them to lay the foundations for an exciting, prosperous career as a Sonographer.
