Many choices are available, including well-respected universities throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. This will give you a vital international perspective, as well as expanding your list of business and personal contacts, a vital edge in an increasingly globalised business community.

    Course Outline

This is a 4 year program for most students, including your year abroad.

    Year 1:

Your first year in the University of East Anglia’s Banking and Finance MSc program will be spent studying a set of core modules which are common to every undergraduate business degree they offer. Not only does this ensure that all of their students get a broad, complete basis in business skills and techniques, it makes it possible to transfer between different business programs after or during your first year with relative ease.

    Year 2:

You will have additional core modules in year 2, but these will focus on accounting and business management specifically. In addition, you will be able to select a few optional modules at this time, beginning to specialise in one or more aspects of Management or Accounting which reflect your chosen career path.

    Year 4:

The vast majority of your year 4 modules will be selected from the optional list. This will allow you to specialise in anything from International Financial Services to UK Tax and Accounting.

    Learning & Teaching

The UEA’s business school uses a fairly standard mix of lecture classes, smaller seminars and highly focused workshops to convey the kind of expertise you’ll need to thrive in the business world. You will have the opportunity to attend a wide range of guest lectures from world business leaders. You will also spend a great deal of time in individual study, of course.

    Career Possiblities

Many UEA Banking and Finance graduates find themselves fast-tracked for management, accounting and finance positions. However, that is far from the only option available. This program conveys a wide array of highly transferrable skills which are desirable to employers in industries such as Arts and Entertainment, Media, the Service Industry, Retail and Manufacturing. Where this degree takes you is largely up to you!
