    Course Summary

The University of Edinburgh’s International Banking Law and Finance program focuses on understanding the regulatory policies and legal framework that has arisen out of the global financial issues of 2008. Reforms in the last decade have focused on making global financial markets safer, less volatile and more reliable. This is a challenging remit, and one which requires increasingly capable graduates!

Success in these markets or in the entities which govern or support them requires in-depth knowledge of both national and global financial systems and regulations as well as a sophisticated understanding of how they interact. This course aims to combine that knowledge with an understanding of how international banking is achieved and regulated, as well as how corporate finance is conducted.
