    Course Outline

Exeter’s MBA course is especially designed to be accessible to those who have been out of university for some time. In order to get you up to speed as quickly and efficiently as possible, they have arranged a ‘boot camp week’ and a ‘pre-sessional programme’. The boot camp is an opportunity to engage in specially designed workshops and team building exercises, and the pre-sessional is a week long program which will give you the grounding in maths, accounting and finance which you may never have had, or which you may have forgotten since your student days.

In the course proper, you’ll take core modules designed to give you a solid grounding on the theory and technique of several important business disciplines. You’ll also have access to a wide range of optional modules which give you specific skill sets or help you advance your career in certain industries. The last part of the program is your in-company consultancy project.

    Learning & Teaching

This is a unique program, and it includes a range of teaching methods. These include lectures and seminars, group challenges and activities, company visits and study trips, and assignments involving various partner organisations.

There are also many extra-curricular components, including guest speakers and workshops designed to enhance your skills and career potential.

    Career Possiblities

Careers in finance, banking and management are of course the most common routes Exeter’s MBA graduates take, but nearly anything is possible.

Exeter’s MBA program has a dedicated Careers Consultant who provides group and 1-on-1 advice sessions as well as CV development and career planning. Tailored, confidential coaching is also available.

Entry Requirements for UK and EU-nationals

The University of Exeter’s MBA program attracts people of many educational levels. Most apply with 3 years of managerial work experience and a good first degree. Others have no degree, but 8 or more years of experience and a relevant professional qualification.

Non-academic achievements are heavily weighted, and should be a part of every application.

Entry Requirements for overseas (non-EU) students

International students must be fluent in written and spoken English, to a 7.0 IELTS (Academic) standard, or with a TOEF: IBT score of 100 with 23 in speaking, 22 for reading and 21 for writing and listening.

They must also have achieved an equivalent qualification to that listed above. The full details on what qualifications are accepted can be found here.
