The Guardian University League Table for 2018 ranked this program among the 20 best in the nation, and the course content is fully recognised by TMI (the Tourism Management Institute). Not only will you learn real world management skills with a sharp focus on the industry, you’ll have the opportunity to take a 6 month internship at Walt Disney World in Florida.

This course includes the option of taking a year to study abroad or in professional placement at one of Hertfordshire’s partner organisations around the world. A year abroad can give you the international perspective you’ll need to operate a tourism-related business in the new global economy, and a year in work placement can give you the kind of real world business skills that employers of all kinds demand.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills.
