    Course Summary

It has been said that Mathematics is the foundation of not just modern science but all quantifiable thought. It involves all of the ways humans have developed to study space, structure, quantity and change. It involves seeking out patterns and conjecturing what might cause them, and testing those conjectures in a rigorously academic manner.

The University of Manitoba’s Mathematics BSc programs will give you the tools you need to build an academic or business career in nearly any advanced science, in engineering, or even in finance and economics. You’ll also learn the critical thinking and analysis skills you’ll need to succeed in nearly any other field.

This degree program can be taken as a 3 year General Degree, a 4 year Major Degree, a 4 year Major Degree in Applied Mathematics, a 4 year Honours Degree, or a 4 year Joint Honours including a Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or Physics & Astronomy component.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness.
