    Course Outline

    This program is typically delivered over three years at full time.

    Learning And Teaching

    The University of Northampton relies on fairly standard lectures, skills workshops and seminars as well as in the lab and online. You’ll also spend a great deal of time on both qualitative and quantitative analysis.  

    You’ll typically experience 12 hours of in class ‘contact time’ per week, in addition to a further 18 to 24 hours of self-directed reading, study and revision. You’ll be assessed via examinations as well as through coursework.

    Career Possibilities

    The University of Northampton’s BSc program in Psychology qualifies your for GBC ‘chartered’ status in the British Psychological Society. This can be your first step towards a career as a forensic, occupational, educational, clinical, counselling or health psychologist.   

    If you took part in either the Changemaker Gold or Employability Plus Gold programs and you somehow have not found suitable employment within a year of graduation, the university will arrange an internship for you to ease your transition into the business world.

    Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a full BSc degree.

    Students must typically have been awarded 3 A Levels at BBC to apply. The full list of accepted qualifications can be found here.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall and no less than 5.5 in any section would qualify, for example.
