    Course Summary

An MSc in the Health Sciences from the University of Northern British Columbia is at once detailed and flexible, and students can be assured of learning the basic skills required of all health sciences graduates as well as of the having the opportunity to explore their own interests and specialties by selecting from a wide range of elective modules beyond the core curriculum.

This program benefits from the UNMC’s community oriented and student lead approaches to learning, and seeks to give its students the ability to improve their own expertise via research. It aims to supply the Northern, Rural, Remote and Indigenous health sciences communities with the next generation of research specialists they need.

It does this by making its students familiar with the health challenges and other factors relevant to northern communities, but also by giving its students the opportunity to do applied and / or community based research.
