    Course Summary

    The University of Nottingham’s Masters of Science in Finance, Accounting and Management was designed to provide students who have already achieved their first degree with additional skills in the theory and practice of both finance and accounting. 

    There is a strong focus on the realities of modern firms and the current financial environment. After all, business needs to look forward if it to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

    This course will also prepare students for their eventual transfer to the management track in their chosen profession.

    Course Outline

    This is a three year program for most students.

    Year 1:

    Your first year will include modules on financial accounting, management accounting, business law, business finance, economics, economic policy and more.

    Year 2:

    From year 2 onwards you will begin to develop a strong specialty, as well as attaining a deeper understanding of the practice of finance and accounting. One term of this year may be spent abroad, at the university’s Chinese or Malaysian campuses.

    Year 3:

    Here the focus shifts to corporate finance, financial analysis, business ethics and related topics. You will also have the opportunity to choose from many elective modules.

    Entry & Credit

    Entry Requirements for UK and EU Students:

    Applicants must have achieved 3 A Levels at AAB or higher. None of the qualifying A Levels can have been Citizenship Studies, Critical Thinking or General Studies.

    Entry Requirements for overseas (non EU)students:

    Non-EU students from overseas are welcome to apply for this program. They must demonstrate academic certification that is at least equivalent to that required for UK and EU students.

    They must also pass English language test such as the IELTS. They must have achieved an overall score of 7.0, and at least 6.0 in each indivudual tested element (or the equivalent).
