    Learning And Teaching

    Wolverhampton’s teaching methods vary depending on the subject matter being presented, but typically include lectures, skills workshops and blended learning experiences at a minimum. You’ll also do a great deal of reading, study and revision, either individually or in small groups.

    You’ll work on case studies, make presentations and case analyses, as well as participating in group discussions. Many different problem based learning approaches will be used, and personal reflection will be encouraged.

    Career Possibilities

    This degree is an excellent preparation for a career, as you’ll have all of the skills necessary to manage a hotel, restaurant, arena, pub, night club, catering business or another organisation which focuses on the national or international tourist market. Recent graduates have become Unit Managers, Operations Coordinators, Personnel managers, Hospitality Managers and Events Coordinators at organisations like Best Western, Marriott Hotels, Weatherspoon’s, Yates Wine Lodge, and Welcome Break.

    Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 4 year BA degree.

    Applicants must typically have earned 2 A Levels at DD or better or the international equivalent. The full list of qualifications which are accepted can be found here.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. A good IELTS score would qualify, for example.
