    Course Summary

Vancouver Island University’s bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialisation in International Business is a great way to begin a career in entrepreneurship, business administration or general management on a global scale. You’ll learn in the classroom, in business simulations and by completing projects for live external clients, making a meaningful contribution to the business world.

This program can be taken as a full 4 year BBA or as a 2 year Diploma in Business Administration. Only the 4 year version is suitable preparation for an MBA.

In addition to business and leadership skills, though, this program provides real world international business experience. You’ll engage in a minimum of nine International Experience credits, which can be gathered through internships or co-operative work placements in a wide range of internationally operating businesses or regulatory organisations. Having that on your CV will put you in a very competitive position relative to other BBA graduates.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
