    Laurier’s Business Economics MABE program is delivered by their Lazaridis School of Business. It is the largest business co-op program in Canada, and one of only 5% worldwide who qualify for accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

    The program is designed to give you the kind of written and oral communication skills you’ll need to thrive in any kind of office environment, as well as the analytical and research skills you’ll need to stand out in a crowd who all aspire to leadership positions.     Learning And Teaching

    Laurier’s Business Economics program is delivered primarily through lectures and seminar sessions, though you will also attend skills sessions, workshops and special events. It is intended to give you the technical, practical and theoretical skills you’ll need to prosper in this field.

    You’ll also be able to take part in Canada’s largest business based co-operative education program. You’ll gain vital real world skills and show potential employers that you have something special to offer.

    Graduates of this program have founded very rewarding careers in fields like public policy, strategic planning, modelling financial markets and institutions, making studies of industries and markets, economic policy analysis and economic forecasting more generally. 

    Recent graduates have taken roles with organisations such as Bank of Canada, Bank of Montreal, Deloitte & Touche, Dun & Bradstreet, Federal Express, the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the Ministry of Finance, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Statistics Canada and the TD Bank Financial Group.

    Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a MABE degree.

    Applicants must typically have completed an Honours Baccalaureate degree in Economics, or the international equivalent. This must include high scores in Calculus, Statistics and Econometrics. . 

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
