About the Author

 

Professor David Blockley is a noted academic as well as a practicing engineer. He teaches at the University of Bristol, where he is both the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Royal Academy of Engineering.
