The SI edition of Essentials of Materials Science & Engineering can show you the way the properties, processing and essential structure of materials interact.
What does this book cover?
This classic 2013 edition of Essentials of Materials Science & Engineering looks at all of the properties that characterise common engineering materials, at the way different materials are grouped, and at what makes particular materials good choices for different structural, functional or mechanical roles. It is an excellent choice for a textbook to an introductory level course on materials science.
Essentials of Materials Science & Engineering, SI Edition is a practical guide to:
About the Authors
Dr Donald Askeland has been a part of the Missouri University of Science and Technology for more than 40 years. Dr Wendelin Wright teaches at Bucknell University, in both their Departments of Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. She did her PhD work at Stanford University, and focuses on the mechanical behaviour of metallic glasses.
In Essentials of Materials Science & Engineering, SI Edition, Askeland and Wendelin have produced an excellent introduction to the field.
In Science and Engineering of Materials, SI Edition, you’ll find everything you need to take higher level courses in materials selection, design or manufacturing engineer..
