About the Author
Dr Karl White spent years researching radiation damage to materials at the Australia Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, before taking in a Senior Lecturer role at the University of Sheffield, and finally becoming the University of Liverpool’s Chair of Nuclear Engineering in 2015. His other research interests include amorphous materials and ways of dealing with radioactive waste.
