About the Author
Melanie Fennell first made a name for herself as a pioneer in using CBT to treat depression. She was one of the first to use this treatment effectively in the UK, at the Department of Psychiatry at Oxford University. She currently teaches at the Oxford mindfulness Centre, where she also works to develop evidence-based treatments for anxiety.
